Nada Zečević

Nada Zečević received her PhD degree at the Medieval Studies Department in 2004, with a focus on the Italian Tocco family in Latin Greece. Nada is the member of the Society for the Promotion of Byzantine Studies and CARMEN. The wider scope of her research is the history of the Balkan peninsula in the Middle Ages and its connections with other parts of the medieval world. In this, she specifically focuses on the region’s societies, their movements, communication and exchange, as well as our modern uses and abuses of the region’s past. Most recently, her publications deal with late-medieval migrations and their various perceptions, family structures and social networks, intellectual and diplomatic exchange, and societal marginalia.
