CARMEN Monographs and Studies - ARC

This series has a dual function. It focuses mainly, but not exclusively, on Late Antiquity through to the Merovingian and Carolingian periods in Western Europe, early Islam and its expansion through the Umayyad caliphate, the Viking Age, and the adoption of Christianity in northern, Baltic, and east-central Europe. Secondly, it offers a venue for early careers researchers from partners and countries within the CARMEN network outside Western Europe and North America. For this reason, the editorial board comprises a new generation of scholars from institutions connected to the CARMEN network, particularly those outside Europe.
