Parenting in Planned Lesbian Families

Hoe sterk is de kinderwens van lesbische stellen, en wat is hun motivatie om een kind te nemen? Hoe ervaren de lesbische moeders het ouderschap, en wat streven zij na in de opvoeding van het kind? Wat is de kwaliteit van de ouder-kindrelatie in lesbische families? Hoe ervaren zij de relatie met hun partner, en voelen zij zich daarin gesteund door anderen? Voelen lesbische moeders zich wel geaccepteerd. En als dit niet het geval is, heeft dit dan een negatieve invloed op hun rol als ouder? Door 100 twee-moederfamilies te bestuderen en hen te vergelijken met 100 heteroseksuele families, worden al deze vragen in ‘Parenting in Planned Lesbian Families’ onderzocht. Het is de grootste studie over geplande lesbische gezinnen tot op heden.

Henny Bos

After graduating in Educational Sciences from Utrecht University, Henny Bos (1963) worked under the supervision of Theo Sandfort as a research assistant and junior researcher at the Department of Gay and Lesbian Studies at Utrecht University and the Rutger NISSO Group. The past four years, she was employed at the Department of Education of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Science of the University of Amsterdam, where she carried out her PhD research on parenting in lesbian families, under the supervision of Dymph van den Boom and Frank van Balen. The research was funded by the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO).
