EAJS is an association of scholars and researchers focusing on Japan, with ~1400 members from fifty nations. Its main objective is to stimulate and promote international academic exchange and research in the field of Japanese Studies across national borders.

Every three years the EAJS organises the world’s largest international interdisciplinary conference for Japanese Studies. This year the conference takes place virtually from 24-28 August 2021.
