József Laszlovszky is a historian, archaeologist, and professor at the Department of Historical Studies, Central European University (Vienna). A leader of archaeological excavations and fieldwork at Visegrád (Hungary), in France, Italy, Cambodia, and Mongolia, his research interests cover medieval economic history, archaeology, landscape studies, monastic culture, and the Mongol Invasion of Europe.
