De onderstaande tekst is niet beschikbaar in het Nederlands en wordt in het Engels weergegeven.

This series features studies into foundational issues at the intersection of legal and political thought. Topics include democratic self-defence, the legitimacy of courts and free speech rights. The series encourages interdisciplinary approaches to these issues, combining legal and political theory with insights from the broader humanities and social sciences, such as classical legal scholarship, empirical political science and history. The series is based at the Department of Jurisprudence of Leiden University’s Institute for the Interdisciplinary Study of the Law.
