AUP and Taylor & Francis Partner on English-Language Book Programme

AUP will continue to operate as an independent publishing house based in Amsterdam with 20 employees and will focus on further expanding its growing journals programme (English-language and Dutch-language) and Dutch-language academic, educational and general titles. In addition, AUP will continue to invest and expand the recently acquired Central European University Press (CEU Press).
As part of the agreement with T&F, they will assume responsibility for the distribution (print and online), sales and general marketing of CEU Press’s English-language titles as well as AUP's remaining English language books. Authors and editors of book series have been informed of the new arrangements.
Commissioning, pre-print work and tailored marketing will continue to be carried out under the auspices of AUP. The CEU Press editorial board, made up of academics from the Central European University, will continue to provide editorial oversight.
CEU Press supports democratic thought, academic freedom and a diverse set of voices from disciplines within the humanities and social sciences. The CEU Press is committed to open access and is especially proud of its partnership with librarians through the innovative Opening the Future model.
Amsterdam University Press was founded in 1992 and publishes high-quality books, journals and online publications in the Humanities and Social Sciences. The Central European University Press was founded in 1993 originally as a gateway for greater knowledge of the region and is now expanding to reflect the broader areas of research of the Central European University.
