Janric van Rookhuijzen
Janric van Rookhuijzen is a scholar of Classical Studies. In his doctoral research at Radboud University Nijmegen, he examined the role of memory in the Greek historian Herodotus’ account of the Persian Wars. As a postdoctoral researcher, he studied the archaeology and reception history of the Acropolis of Athens; this work was recognised with the Early Career Award of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. At AUP and WalburgPers, Janric works as a commissioning editor for academic journals and Dutch-language books (both scholarly and divulgative). He supports authors and editorial teams in publishing high-quality research and is happy to discuss proposals for new journals and book projects across the humanities and social sciences.
