Perspectives on Interdisciplinarity

The Institute for Interdisciplinaire Studies (IIS) is the UvA’s centre of expertise in the field of interdisciplinary learning and teaching. Together with the faculties of the University of Amsterdam the IIS develops new methods of education.

The IIS has over twenty years of experience with interdisciplinary education and continues to build on educational innovations with an interdisciplinary character. The institute identifies new themes and problems that connect with current developments in science and society.
